About the Church in the Field

ReGeneration House of Praise, Inc. (the Church in the Field) is a church dedicated to the principles of the Word of God bringing the messages of salvation, hope, faith, deliverance and healing to the least, the last, the lost and the NO LONGER left out. We believe the regenerating power of the Holy Ghost can rebuild the lives of God’s people to establish and restore them in the kingdom of God and the community as a whole.

Good Evening!

It is sad to remember that eight years ago the Church in the Field was birthed on the occasion of murdered young people. Eight years later we are still confronted with the specter of murder, mayhem, poverty, and pain in Southeast, Washington DC. We truly mourn with the families and the community in this hour or rising violence and despair. But we also know that we must not come down from the wall. Instead, we are going to continue as God allows us to continue lifting up Jesus in the place that He has chosen for us to do so in Southeast. Jesus reminds us that as we do, he will draw people unto himself.

I know most of you have your own services but just to let you know we will be doing what we do best to serve the community on Sunday, June 3 at 11 am in the field on Chesapeake Street SE. We will break the bread of life, distribute food pantry items, cooked food, some clothing and otherwise share our love with the community. We may decide to host an indoor anniversary celebration later this year but Sunday's celebration is just to serve the community. You are welcome to join us, Lord willing.

Please see this flyer for details.

We continue to pray for you and your ministry and that God will use you to His glory in this time of the remnant church and His remnant people.

Shalom and Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl M. Gaines
